I will let you in on a little secret of mine. I don’t really mind sharing it because I highly doubt many people read this and if they do, they probably already know this little tid bit about me.Whenever I’m feeling down, I add a song to my repertoire. It’s not an emo thing though. I don’t know what it is but it soothes my soul. It’s like every chord I play brings my thoughts and feelings to life; the bittersweet, bitter, and sweet sounds compliment my thoughts and feelings. It’s a difficult thing to explain. It just feels like I voice everything, I let everything be heard without having to say a word. It relieves me from the stress, anxiety, or sadness when no one else is around to vent.Aside from that, I decided to take a cruise around town and rummage through random stores. I ended up at borders.I don’t know what it is but I just love bookstores! I could spend days in there. Swear. I love the smell of new pages and the mere idea that there are so many more ideas to explore and learn about.I decided to just skim through some art books and I saw this one piece of graffiti art. It said:“A Beautiful Crime”with a guy spray painting on a wall.I always realize again and again, how beautiful every form of art truly is. I really wish everyone understood how important art is to our lives. It’s never a waste of time.Another thing I like to do when I’m feeling a bit blue is take scenic routes around town with the windows down (and yes, despite the weather, unless it’s raining.) I don’t know what it is about the crisp air whipping and blowing through, but it makes me feel alive and I love it. I don’t know, I guess I also get the chance to hear the sounds, smell the smells, and see things clearer.I also love cruising just because I can listen to my music as I drive by familiar places. It’s like having my own soundtrack like in the movies (something I’ve always wished for).Well, anyway, I learned “Sway” by The Kooks so give it a listen when you can. Oh, and those three instruments up above are my loves: Leh-leh (ukulele), Blackberry Smoothie (black ibanez guitar), and I haven’t named my Yamaha yet, but yeah.
